Clogged drains seem to happen at the most inopportune time. The kitchen sink starts backing up while preparing dinner for a big family event. A toilet starts overflowing when you have a house full of guests. Kennedy Plumbing has over 40 years of experience helping our customer with these stressful mishaps.
Kitchen Drains
All kitchen drains can clog over time. They typically develop a buildup of fats, oil and grease mixed with food waste that restricts the flow. They can happen suddenly or gradually worsen over time, even for the most fastidious homeowner.
Toilets
Toilets even the best ones can clog with too much being flushed at once or when foreign objects accidently get flushed. We regularly see these clogs caused by those biodegradable disposable wipes that are popular these days.
Bathroom sink, tub and shower drains
Hair is the most common culprit here. But soap scum, oils all contribute and are just a fact of life.
One of the most stressful drain problems is when a low drain starts overflowing when no water is running in the fixture. This can happen when the main line is clogged and as the pipe fills with water. As the water fills the line it will start coming up wherever the drain opening is the lowest – such as a tub or shower drain, a floor drain or even a toilet. In these cases, stop putting water down the drain and give us a call.
If you suspect you have a clog or have any concerns about a slow drain, call Kennedy Plumbing. Our licensed Journeyman Plumbers can diagnose, clear or repair your clogged drain.
